Yesterday, Autumn and I were playing on the couch. I kissed her cheeks, her belly, her eyes, her knee.... pretty much all her exposed skin parts she wanted me to kiss. After that, she decided she wanted to spank me. She spnaked my knee. I pretended to cry. I said, "Kiss it." She kissed my knee. She then kissed my toe (ew) and my fingers and hands. Then she took my glasses off my face to count and kiss each eye. She counted and kissed each eye several times. I was trying to watch Glee at the time. Oh well. :O) Kisses are better than TV shows anyways.
The previous week, we were on vacation with my family. We went to the OBX again. The girls, Lexie and Autumn, had a great time together. They played and screamed and they even slept in the same bed most nights. There were nights we had to go down and warn them to settle down because they were screaming and making so much noise. Usually, when you hear Autumn say, "Hi-ya!", that means she's jumping on the bed. We heard this several times on the monitor. Lexie, the screamer, would scream and laugh like crazy. Double trouble for sure! Last night, I asked Autumn if she missed her family. She went through everyone that was at the beach house and said miss. So, it was, "Mima, miss. Makha, miss. Lekki, miss" and so on down the line. Poor Autumn! Only a few more weeks and Lekki will come visit us at the campah. I can't wait!

Autumn is TOO cute!
So I just wanted to share some cute things that Autumn's done in the past couple of weeks.
A couple of weeks ago, I was getting dressed for a bridal shower. Being 13 weeks pregnant at the time, I felt like garbage. My shirts made me feel like I was trying to smuggle dough into the event and I felt terrible. I tried on a maternity top. I felt dumb. I wasn't pregnant enough. As I'm looking at myself in the mirror, Autumn walks in and looks at me and says, "Pitty" (pretty). Awwwwww, that made me feel so much better! I still hemmed and hawed over the shirt but I ended up wearing it to the party.
The way Autumn says I love you is lucky. For whatever reason, she can't separate the words. Davis and I actually say this to each other now just because it's so cute. Usually I tell her, "Gimme a kiss and tell me you love me!" She usually complies, but every once in awhile she'll look at me and say "lucky". Unsolicited "I love you" are the best kind. :O)

Hello out there!
I really wanted to start a blog about our family because of my daughter. She is the most wonderful thing that has happened to me and my husband. Autumn is at the point now where she is talking and saying some pretty interesting stuff.
As this is my first blog, I would prefer to tell people about myself. I grew up in a small town in Upstate NY called Elmira. I am the oldest of 3 girls and have really great parents. I love my family and am very close to them. I graduated high school and went on to finish a four year degree in business. A few years later, I went back to school to get my teaching degree.
I met my husband at wal mart (of all places) where we both worked. We married almost 3 years after we met. He's a computer programmer and damn good at what he does. Not only that, he makes great money.
After we had been married about a year, we decided to try for a family. 3 years later we found out my tubes were blocked and the only way we could have a family was to go through In Vetro Fertilization. It worked the first time and we have a beautiful daughter named Autumn. We love her to death and can't imagine our lives without her. We love her so much we decided to have another and I am due 2/6/2011 with our second.
We're so excited!
